HEALTH AND SAFETY FOR MANAGERS
In accordance with law, employers are responsible for health and safety management in their workplace. This Health and Safety for Managers
e-learning course is aimed at providing managers with an understanding of the principles of health and safety risk management.
This course is aimed at managers who want to ensure the safety of their employees and will teach you important aspects of health and safety that
you should adopt in your place of work.
You’ll discover the principles of effective health and safety management. You’ll recognise the importance of sensible risk management,
health and safety policies, procedures and records.
You’ll learn about the common types of accidents and understand the two main causes of accidents. You’ll learn about the Health and Safety at Work Act
and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
Finally, you’ll learn about health and safety management responsibilities and the importance of safety meetings, internal inspections and the health
and safety measurement and review.
At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:
- Understand the principles of effective health and safety management
- Recognise the importance of the moral, legal and the economic aspects of health and safety
- Develop an insight into risk management, health and safety policy, procedures and records
- Recognise the most common types of accidents as well as causes and hidden costs
